To find the scale distance between the earth and the moon, my group found the diameters of both the real moon and earth in miles. We also found the distance between them. We concluded that we were going to use the little moon to measure, so one little moon equals one little moon. With this we put the diameter of the real moon to equal one little moon. We then divided the space between the earth and the moon by the diameter of the moon. By doing this we discovered that there has to be a distance of 110 little moons in between the paper earth and moon so our model would be an accurate scale to the real solar system.
